Introduction
Covid-19 is a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus (WHO, UNICEF & IFRC, March 2020). It first surfaced in China on 31 December 2019, and by the 30 January 2020, the World Health Oranisation (WHO) declared the coronavirus outbreak as a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. From January 2020 to mid-June 2020, the world had experienced a total of 7.1 million cases with approximately 5% resulting in deaths (Worldometers, June 2020). Much of the world moved to lockdown in the fight against the virus, at the expense of the ecomomy and the lifelihood of their citizens, but yet, the world continues to experience and will only see more waves of this outbreak prior to a permanent medical solution. Is there a way to balance public health and the economy/people’s livelihood? Perhaps the answer to this lies in managing Covid-19 safely in the workplace. Join this 2-part webinar to learn more!
